Armaid - Arm Recovery Tool is a MUST for Kettlebell users

 If there is anything as significant as the kettlebell itself for your training, it's the Armaid.


The Armaid is a hand-operated muscle recovery device focused on the muscles of the hand, forearm, biceps, and triceps. 

 Its portability is great as you can take it with you to work, on trips, and even use it while relaxing at night in a chair or on the couch.


Kettlebell training involves LOADS of grip strength and endurance.


Recovery is essential for the progression of your training, whether it's gaining muscle, kettlebell competition, or general fitness.


When we demand a lot from our muscles during intense training, we must care for them with massage and equal rest. At least in my opinion and lifting experience.


  • Kettlebell swings, snatches, carries, and cleans all require high demands from the hand and forearm muscles. This is where people can develop tendonitis by overtraining. While your whole body may be fine, you might not realize that your grip muscles are tightening due to constant use. Taking a few minutes each day  to help release muscle tension with the Armaid can significantly reduce the risk of developing Golfer's elbow or pain on the inside of the elbow. 


  • Pressing, Jerks, TGU, and any other overhead work significantly engage the triceps, not just for strength demands but also for stability needs. You can easily use the Armaid on the triceps and biceps by adjusting the width of the tool.

Armaid Forearm Massage Tool

This is my original review of the Armaid tool from 2012

This is one of the most effective muscle care tools i have ever came across in my 16 years of kettlebell training. That's a lot of gripping!

Using the Armaid and ORANGE ball attachment to work on decreasing chronic tension in your triceps.

Any kettlebell exercise that has the kettlebell overhead will tax your triceps. That is a lot of volume, especially if you do jerks, presses, Turkish Getups, windmills, overhead carries, and bent presses. Any attachment will work, but I find the orange ball attachment to be particularly effective for working on the triceps.

The Armaid tool is great to use on the brachioradialis and other muscles that get a lot of strain from pullups
