Heavy Kettlebell Training: Heavy Volume Clean and Jerk

Double Kettlebell clean and jerk is one of the magical parts of kettlebell training. 

It WILL help you in nearly all strength and stamina endeavors.

Single arm Long Cycle is great but double is what will put the strength and muscle on you.


Here are two recent training portions that I did for long cycle.

The first one I call the Witcher Session. It is high volume with medium weight, clean, and jerk.

using minutes as your guide, you will do 5 reps and increase 1 rep each minute, ending with 10 reps on the 6th minute. 

This gives you 45 reps total in 6 minutes.

It can be tough. Take a minute or two and repeat. 

In this session, I did 4x rounds which gave me 180 reps 2x20kg and over 15,000 lb lifted clean and jerk in around 28 minutes 


Now onto the strength. I felt great and wanted to try how many reps I could get with 2x40kg. 

Here is the video of my best effort in a couple years and only a few months after a nasty hip nerve issue stemming from my snatch competition in Portugal and a slip on a wet surface over the past Autumn,
